Honnor Courage Commitment
Getting involved in this unit is easy; all it takes is little of your time. If you’re willing to put in the work, a great way to get involved is to join one of our competition teams. At MBSH we have many teams that include Academic, Physical Fitness, Color Guard, unarmed Drill, Armed Drill and exhibition. These teams are always looking for new members and are more then willing to teach eager new cadets.

To develop informed and responsible citizens;
To strengthen character;
To promote an understanding of the basic elements and requirements for national security;
To help form habits of self-discipline, self-confidence, self-esteem, responsibility, accountability, and leadership;
To develop respect for and an understanding of the need for constituted authority in a democratic society; and
To develop an interest in the Military Services as a possible career.
NJROTC is not a military recruiting program. Rather,
it is designed to instill citizenship and leadership into
the students in the program. It provides an academic course, Naval Science, as well as a place where students can become involved in social, community service and
extra-curricular activities with many leadership opportunities.
